Karen and Jay wanted to record May All Your Days Be Holidays for many years. Both of them love the winter season (especially in picturesque New England) and have many fond memories of not only the sights but the sounds of the holidays. It was a gradual process of narrowing down which songs they liked the best.

Jay wanted to write a new song for the album, and it took him two years to do it. The evocative tune became the title track. The collection features many old favorites plus some lesser-known songs that Karen and Jay enjoy performing.
